Photos From the 2002 Dig at Trotter Dump

The ore wall in daylight.

The ore wall about 3 stories tall by about
60 feet wide, illuminated by 2 Triple Brites.

The ground is like sand but is composed mostly of Calcite.
At night with a short wave light the ground fluoresces red.
These are 4 specimens of Willemite on the ground.

One of the trenches to search in.

Dave Russell sharing some Hardystoneite with
Lou Budell and John Davis.

Jeff Winkler checking a specimen found by his son.

Collectors check out spots all over the Trotter site.

A dark room is provided so collectors can check their
finds under "Dark" conditions.

Another of several trenches that were
dug to bring "new" old material to the surface.
